Comprehensive Memory Care
The ENGAGE© program of Apara Care was specially created to provide a different way of caring for people with memory loss and dementia. ENGAGE© is based on four foundational aspects:
- Staff
- Environment
- Activities & Programming
- Dining, Food, & Nutrition
Additional aspects of the Program include the use of best practices (research, application, and evaluation), use of resource partnerships within the community at large, and a commitment to education.
ENGAGE© believes in holistic application of the following principles:
Enliven the body, mind, and spirit
Nurture the capabilities and strengths of the person
Give fully of oneself to care and to be cared for
Achieve quality of life at the level maximally attainable for each individual
Generate a healing, helping environment in which all can thrive
Empower residents, families, staff, and the community to understand and be understood
